Last weekend, we jetted off for a quick trip up to the beach that is only a few hours away. The beach was a bit gross with garbage floating around, but the family time and the simple act of getting away was totally worth it.
Sojo noticed a magic show advertisement at the hotel we ate at and was determined we should go. Sadly, we were the only ones in attendance, and the magician could not perform the show. Expecting a huge, 4-year-old-sized disappointed kid, we asked/begged if he would come out and do one trick especially for her.
Thankfully, he obliged and made a rose appear from a match flame (she later thought this was truly a magic rose that would never die). She has held on to the pamphlet all this week and has shown it to everyone who comes near her, so the one trick did the trick.
We are coming up on our 4th anniversary as a family, so we took a family beach photo to remember this window of time. I think we look so much cooler with the 1960's effect. Dale is also wondering why the 60's effect put those lines on his face. Ha!
