Pinkalicious

There's a book called Pinkalicious that a gaggle of first grade girls talk about every time they have come to the library this year. For this reason, it's never on the shelf. Being that I'm collecting books for inventory, I finally saw the cover (pink, of course) and decided to take it home for our favorite lover of all that is pink.

It was a hit! And to embrace the pink a bit more, we decided to make our own pinkalicious cupcakes today, just like in the book. Here is the look on Sojo's face when she saw the white batter turn pink when we put the liquids in. Priceless! The mini-muffin pan makes a gazillion of them, so we even went around to kids in teacher housing and delivered the yumminess. After we gobbled up a few ourselves, of course.

Here's to the color pink and all the pinkalicious that goes into one little girl that we love and a mother who looks for things pink to make her pinkalicous little girl smile like that. :)

I love the sweet abandon of her smile when she discovers the "pink" icing and the oh so serious look when she gets down to eating it.

Funny, my daughter Jillian is in first grade and loves this book too. She actually likes purplicious even better, since she tells me she doesn't like the color pink anymore (why, why do they have to grow up???) I love seeing Sojo on your blog, thanks for doing such a great job updating (much better than I do with mine!)

Its me again. Grace was just walking by so I picked her up to see Sojo and she kept saying "Gracie" I explained that it isn't Grace, but Sojo, the little girl who was adopted at the same time as she was. Now she is walking around the house yelling Sojo!
