Sojo attended her first big-girl birthday party this past weekend, but that's not the only thing we are celebrating in our household. We are celebrating a new day, a country that voted the son of a Kenyan goat herder President, a people that looked beyond a different name and skin color to see the man and his values, and, most of all, celebrating the intense pride we feel as Americans to have experienced this election in our lifetime.

Amen. I haven't been this proud to be an American in a long time.

We are watching the jubilation and speeches and feel the change too....
Congratulations on getting your pride back.

We are right there with you as we celebrate this victory. God Bless America. May the change begin.

And, oh that cutie all dressed up in her pretty dress and a party hat.

Amen! Now let us have the will power to make the change happen for all!

I just returned from a music concert in Edmonds put on the the Shoreline community band (young people and adults) and Snoking Chorale. The pride was in the air! It was in honor of Veterans Day or at least the music was around it.
One of the ladies in Pat's Spanish class said to me today "can't you feel the joy in the air today!

The pic is precious!
